In SIX Nordic products, trading volumes for stocks and ETFs on Nasdaq Basic markets are currently aggregated on a cross-market level. Starting on Monday 1 August, the trading volumes for all stocks and ETFs on Nasdaq Basic markets will be sourced from FINRA TRF. FINRA TRF is the largest OTC trade reporting facility for Nasdaq Basic Listings, operated by Nasdaq on behalf of FINRA.
The effect will be that trading volumes presented for Nasdaq Basic Listings in SIX Nordic products will be lower than the cross-market aggregated volumes currently used. The difference will vary depending on security, nevertheless, we deem that the FINRA volumes will serve as an adequate measure of market activity.
The following Nasdaq Basic listing groups are affected:
- NASDAQ Listings, stocks and ETFs
- NYSE Listings, stocks and ETFs
- NYSE MKT Listings (formerly AMEX), stocks and ETFs
- ARCA Listings, ETFs
Please note the change only affects trading volumes. The distribution and presentation of market prices will remain unchanged.
